An experienced project director and business leader, James has spent the last 18 years of his 24-year career focusing on the rail sector, working in both consulting and contracting environments. Responsible for setting and delivering against the rail strategy, James works with client and project teams to improve the reliability and performance of their key assets. He also supports contractors, adding value at the design phase and operators, providing design, constructability, and project management support.
Under his steer, BakerHicks has cemented its reputation for station design and grown into an established provider for clients such as Network Rail, delivering complex and challenging projects whilst developing a strong capability in electrification, track, and geotechnical design.
