A highly experienced project director and business leader, James has spent the last 14 years of his 20 year career focusing on the rail sector working in both consulting and contracting environments. During this time he has delivered growth, developed clients and portfolios of work, and managed operational teams and programmes of work.
He will also look to diversify the BakerHicks rail portfolio to complement the existing focus on stations, looking to extend into new market sectors such as electrification and rail systems.
He has delivered significant projects in both the UK and Europe for major rail providers, contractors and consultants, involving new electrification, stations, route works, gauging and safety critical surveys. He has also led successful professional services framework bids for clients such as HS2 Ltd and has a particular knowledge of rail systems and electrification.
