In Derby, the team, who are focused on providing project services to the Rail and Power industries, will now be located on the second floor of 15 St Christopher’s Way, Pride Park, just across from their original offices.
Following on from the successful growth of the team since first opening the Derby office in 2017, this move cements the company’s presence in the rail heartland of the UK. The new office sees the company’s floorspace increase and, thanks to fit-out services from sister company, Overbury, provide state-of-the-art office facilities in a contemporary and collaborative space.
Director of Rail, James Howles commented:
This is the start of a new era for BakerHicks in Derby with ambitious future plans for business growth. It made perfect sense to base our team in Derby, which is renowned as a rail city, and to recruit talent from the strong engineering and manufacturing skills set here which has also boosted our power sector team.
In Linz, the company have opened new offices in the TechCenter on Hafenstraße (pictured below left). The expansion reflects the company’s growing reputation for delivering complex projects in the Life Sciences sector in Austria.
David Haidinger, Head of Austria, says:
With an office now at Linz, we’ve not only strengthened our geographical reach across the country and beyond, but we’ve also ensured that we’re centrally located close to our clients for a truly agile and speedy response to their project needs.
