With proven experience and expertise in managing projects through the full lifecycle, he will be the first point of contact and client advocate for each site in Belgium.

Mark Dickson, managing director for Life Sciences and Industry at BakerHicks, says Donnachagh will play a key role in helping the company achieve their expansion plans across Europe:

Developing talent is a big part of who we are, and since joining the business, Donnachagh has continually demonstrated he has the skills and expertise to play a leadership role.

His knowledge, expertise and understanding of engineering, our clients and our people mean he is perfectly placed to lead our expansion in this key region. This, combined with his contacts from across our wider business, will be invaluable to our local clients and I look forward to working closely with him to continue the success and growth of our life sciences business across Europe.

Donnachagh joined BakerHicks in 2014 as an automation and controls engineer, before moving into project management. A chartered engineer and member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, he has in-depth knowledge of the chemical, pharmaceutical, science and technology sectors.

Donnachagh says his immediate priority is to build on the company’s strong relationships with existing customers:

We have developed a strong reputation as a trusted partner for delivering industry leading pharmaceutical and biopharma expertise to our clients and I am excited to continue building on this. Belgium is one of Europe’s leading biopharma and R&D nations and a real hub in terms of life sciences businesses, so it is a key market for us.

Our approach across our business is centred on having skilled teams on-the-ground where our clients are based, enabling them to really understand their business and its requirements. With our office in Wavre located so centrally it allows us to give clients in all regions of Belgium this level of support and I am looking forward to working with them to deliver world-class projects and solutions.
