The new four-year framework is the latest iteration of YORconsult’s construction consultancy agreement. Spread across 12 Lots, the framework requires expert support across various disciplines for local authorities and public sector organisations.
BakerHicks' appointment to Lot 1 for civil engineering services reflects their expertise in highway design. The team will contribute to a range of infrastructure projects, including highways, pedestrianisation and active travel schemes, traffic safety works, bridge works and environmental improvements.
In addition, BakerHicks have secured a place on Lot 4 for architectural services, where they will deliver land remediation and landscaping, planned maintenance, refurbishment and upgrades, regeneration initiatives and decarbonisation projects.
Samer Ali, Director for Transportation at BakerHicks, says:
This appointment reflects BakerHicks’ proven capability in delivering high quality architectural and highways projects. It also demonstrates our growing presence across the Yorkshire region. With offices in York, Derby and throughout the UK, we are well-placed to provide multi-disciplinary support across North and South Yorkshire, and surrounding areas.
We look forward to leveraging our expertise, from initial environmental assessment and design through to final delivery, to support infrastructure projects that enable connectivity and accessibility for local communities.
