BakerHicks have agreed a four-year deal with The Royal Parks, a charity that supports and manages 5,000 acres of Royal parkland across London. This includes a range of professional consultancy services related to the engineering, repairs and maintenance of roads, bridges, reservoirs, culverts and abutments within the parks.
As one of the suppliers selected and appointed to the framework, BakerHicks will work in close partnership with The Royal Parks to further develop park infrastructure, including the design and modelling of new roads, footpaths and cycle paths from the concept stage through to detailed design. They will also provide Royal Parks with access to their specialist traffic and transport infrastructure, civil and structural engineering, and geotechnical services, as well as supporting in the procurement, construction and handover of any project in which they are engaged.
Samer Ali, Highways Director at BakerHicks, says earning a place on the framework highlights the company’s capabilities and expertise:
We are delighted to be recognised by The Royal Parks for our high-quality delivery and specialist services. Our experience in working in challenging and live environments where any work being undertaken has to be completed with the minimum disruption to local people will be of real benefit.
London’s Royal Parks are unique and environmentally sensitive locations, of significant historic value, and much loved by local communities, park goers and tourists alike. We are truly honoured to be one of only a handful of firms trusted to help protect and preserve them for future generations to enjoy.
