BIM & Digital Applications.

At BakerHicks, we design in the 3D virtual environment across all disciplines and sectors, helping to deliver efficiencies, reducing capital and lifecycle costs, and making sure our solutions are right for clients and their stakeholders.

At a glance

Delivering real world value using digital technology.

We’re able to bring our projects to life, allowing clients to quickly visualise, understand and experience their completed design. Through the process of Building Information Modelling (BIM), we create a digital representation of a building. BIM allows us to share complex information in new ways and make the best decisions about aspects such as the sustainable design and lifecycle of a facility.

Our BIM and immersive technology teams collaborate across disciplines, managing the BIM process and coordinating design models as well as embedding asset data for future maintenance and control – creating smart buildings and digital twins. We work in all sectors and our industry experience, combined with an ability to integrate models from a range of software sources ensures seamless coordination.

BIM makes the design process more structured, collaborative and immersive, allowing clients to plan and experience their buildings well before construction begins. Specialisms include the use of immersive virtual and augmented reality technology, informing decisions early in the process and cementing the planning phase of a project.

With expert teams in BIM Information Management, we work with clients to set an achievable and value-focused scope from the outset. We monitor and validate progress throughout the project phases, handing over data-rich models that save clients time and money for years to come.

Additionally, our specialist Asset Information Service (AIS) team utilises data, including BIM workflows, to help clients leverage the best from their buildings and assets, promoting informed decisions at strategic, handover and operational stages.

The clarity of the deliverables is invaluable to our clients, in both their understanding of the project, but also that of their stakeholders and building users. Visualisations stimulate real enthusiasm and interest in the project by bringing the design concepts to life.
